One of Ireland’s most unique sporting events takes to the water this Saturday: An Rás Mór, a long-distance rowing race that transforms the harbour into a colourful, high-energy spectacle. With hundreds of rowers in everything from traditional currachs to racing kayaks and paddleboards, it’s a joy to watch – and a proud Cork tradition.
The race passes through Cork Harbour, and The Quays is the ideal place to catch a glimpse of the action, grab some food, and enjoy the festival atmosphere.
